USA- FOR OR AGAINST QATAR?
USA shows two contrasting sides and has pinned its hopes to
not be found guilty.

The United
States of America is one of the biggest economies in the world. Its trade with
various countries is booming and is one of the Big Five. USA is arguably the
most developed nation. All in all, the USA is a complete package of both development
and power.
Unfortunately,
USA takes advantage of this power and defies smaller countries.
Recently during
the Gulf crisis, President Donald Trump reacted by tweeting.
On sixth of
June, he tweeted the following:
“During my
recent trip to the Middle East I stated that there can no longer be funding of
Radical Ideology. Leaders pointed to Qatar- Look!”
An hour
later, he remarked on Twitter that it was “good to see the Saudi Arabia visit
with the King and fifty countries already paying off. They said they would take
a hard line on funding extremism, and all references were pointing to Qatar.”
He also
declared, “Perhaps this will be the beginning of the end to the horror of
terrorism!”
By the end
of 2017, the United States of America changed their stance and transposed to
Qatar’s side.
SBS Arabic24
interviewed Qatari Ambassador Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
Q: Will the
Gulf impact the presence of an American air base in Qatar?
The Qatari
Ambassador replied by stating, “Few days back the State of Qatar signed a deal
with the United States for the purchase of advanced weapons. This deal and
import of weapons proves that all the allegations put up against us are false. No
country will sell arms to another country suspected of terror. So, there is no
problem with the air base in Qatar. We have a strategic relationship with USA
which is based on an hourly basis.
So what have
the United States done right? Well, very little. They can very well be the
cause for the Third World War. So it is obligatory for all the other countries
to be cautious.
