TO BE OR NOT TO BE
Delegate of DPRK's GSL for Qatar but almost not decipherable

Qatar World Cup is a ‘flagrant mistake’ and the controversies revolving around Qatar will only go against it and can affect security of homosexuals, workers and bisexuals alike.
Qatar, supposedly the host of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, is going to be the first Middle Eastern country to be hosting this prestigious game but there are innumerable controversies revolving around this small yet action packed country.
The bidding process of the FIFA committee was highly criticized and this contemporarily affects the council as the fans are questioning the legitimacy of the process. Many allegations of bribery and corruption have been circulating. Julio Grondona, Senior Vice President of FIFA till 2014, Ricardo Teixeira and Leoz were bribed and were caught.
Also, there have been multiple human rights violation orders. The migrant workers working in Qatar for the World Cup have not been treated well and they have not been given wages on time. This really affects their security. Qatar has published an official statement that it has abolished the Kafala System but systematic abuse of the migrant workers continues till date.
The World Cup has also led to transparency of the Qatari law and enforcement system. The Sharia Muslim law clearly goes against homosexuality and since Qatar goes by the Sharia law system, they too are against homosexuality. This is another point to be noted.
If we consider the overall stance of Qatar, the Gulf crisis adds on to Qatar’s problems. As Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and all the other Gulf countries have broken their ties with Qatar, the land, sea and air routes to Qatar belonging to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt. This will determine whether Qatar can host the 2022 World Cup.
To come to a consensus, Qatar is still not quite ready to host such a huge football league.
