Pak denies ever funding terrorism

                                              Let bygones be bygones?

Pakistan has been internationally renowned as one of the largest state sponsors of terrorism, with many nations voting to name it a terrorist state and put sanctions in place to curb Pakistan’s involvement in the global sphere. However one session into the Disarmament and International Security Council, Pakistan has denied ever being involved or aiding terrorism in any form. Whether Pakistan has suffered from a severe case of amnesia or is simply resorting to lying, surely something was brewing when this chit was intercepted:
 “ The delegate believes that Pakistan has never promoted any form of terrorism. It has always collaborated with other countries to remove the presence of terrorism from the world…Militants present in the country of Pakistan have been behind many cyber attacks…”
These blasphemous statements lead one to believe that Pakistan is trying to absolve itself of all blame relating to any terrorist activities by throwing its citizens, the same ones they generously sponsor, under the (Taliban- driven) bus.
To put this into perspective , Pakistani expert on Afghanistan, Ahmed Rashid, has said,
 “between 1994 and 1999 an estimated eighty thousand to a hundred thousand Pakistanis trained and fought in Afghanistan on the side of the Taliban.”
Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence largely founded the Taliban, a notoriously well-known terror organization, which they then used to gain ‘strategic depth’ in Afghanistan. Ever since, the ISI and Pakistani military have provided logistical, financial and military support to the Taliban.
For Pakistan to suddenly change not only its views but also negate and ignore its past actions, especially considering that Pakistan’s former ambassador to the United States of America, Hussain Haqqani has stated that Pakistan does, in fact, sponsor terrorism, is more than a little shocking. Additionally, former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf has conceded that Pakistan did in fact train militant groups to fight India in Kashmir, an Indian State.
This is again shocking as Pakistan has been pushing the United Nations to brand India  a state sponsor of terrorism. India is the mother of terrorism in South Asia”.
Pakistan has blatantly lied and avoided responsibility for its actions as a self-acknowledged sponsor of terrorism in an international forum, the Disarmament and International Security Council. The repercussion Pakistan will have to face will be grave for many countries who have suffered loss of lives and safety, such as India or the United States, who are sure to hit back in one way or another.

The two Superpowers, China and the United States of America made two separate blocs. These blocs made two working papers as a draft to make a resolution. These two blocs were the only two blocs in the DISEC general assembly. The working paper of the bloc headed by the delegate of the United States of America was sponsored by the delegate of South Korea, the delegate of Germany, the delegate of the United Kingdom and the delegate of France. The working paper of the delegate of China was sponsored by the delegate of Russia, delegate of Iraq, delegate of Iran, delegate of Nepal and delegate of DPRK. The delegate of USA stated that that the UN Security Council can make a sub-body who's members would be elected by the general assembly and would create an international cyber-code. United States; Divided Thoughts

It is a widely acknowledged fact that the United States conducts itself in a hypocritical manner, and contradicts itself repeatedly in international forums. The Disarmament and International Security Council proved to be no different, and the press conference revealed the double standards the government has for its citizens. The United States has conducted itself in an entirely unfit manner, but somehow, it remains unsurprising. When asked informally, the delegate of the US said that she would refuse to answer any questions in the press conference, so it came as a surprise when she spoke on gun control regulations within the US. The delegate stated that the American government believes that the ownership of guns gives its citizens much needed peace of mind, and protection.
